My son recently got a new pair of boots. They fit well, but we were caught in a rain storm and they got really wet. Now his foot and ankle now slide off the inside of the sole, rolling the boot. His spurs now ride up. Is there anything we can do to make the instep straight?

Love my boots and once on the fit great. The problem I am having is getting them on. Specifically the right side. I slipped my foot into the boot and on my heel gets to the bottom of the boot it’s a son of a gun for me to pull up the boot to get my foot firmly seated. I’m using the straps to pull it up, but it’s extremely difficult to get past the heel. Any suggestions?
